Spicy Croissant & Spam Sandwich with Radish Microgreens

Get ready to experience a sandwich like no other! This sandwich is a flavor explosion that will leave your taste buds dancing. Imagine the flaky, buttery croissant, paired with the savory umami of golden-brown Spam, the creamy goodness of Havarti cheese, and the fresh crunch of Rambo Radish Microgreens. Add in the juicy tomatoes and ripe avocado slices, all topped with a zesty, spicy Cholula-infused sour cream spread. This sandwich is a perfect balance of spice, crunch, and juiciness, making it an irresistible treat. Tim's colleagues couldn't get enough of it, and we're sure you won't be able to either. Give it a try and see why this sandwich is a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients (Per Person):

  • 1 Croissant
  • 3 slices Spam (1/4-inch thick), fried
  • 1 1/2 slices Havarti cheese
  • 3 slices avocado
  • 2-3 slices tomato
  • 1 oz (handful) Rambo Radish Microgreens
  • 2 Tbs sour cream
  • Cholula Original Hot Sauce, to taste
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Directions:

1. Prepare the Croissant:

Cut the croissant into halves and toast on a grill or pan, cut side down. Alternatively, broil in a toaster oven. Mix Cholula into the sour cream to taste (we like to err on the side of spicy!). Spread the sour cream mixture on both halves of the croissant.

2. Cook the Spam:

Grill 2-3 slices of Spam until golden brown and caramelized on both sides using a bit of bacon grease or butter. Once done, reduce the heat, leave the slices in the pan, and top each with 1/2 slice of Havarti cheese. Cook until the cheese melts.
Remove from the pan and lay across the bottom croissant slice.

3. Assemble the Sandwich:

Top the Spam with slices of avocado, tomato, and Rambo Radish Microgreens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4. Enjoy!

Place the top half of the croissant on the sandwich and savor the delicious blend of flavors. Don't like Radish Microgreens? Try using Waltham Broccoli or Sweet Green Pea! Oh yeah!!
